The Los Angeles Union Station is under a $31 million modification that won’t be finished until later this year. The building is a gorgeous Art Deco design echoing the 1940’s of Hollywood. One can only imagine the star of that era that you could’ve been sitting next to. After the station opened in May of 1939, Clark Gable, Rita Hayworth, Myrna Loy, and many more were frequently travelers through this station.
I haven’t been there for a few years and since I was passing the train station with my camera I decided to go inside. I only took a couple of shots but the one below, that I have title, “Lady Passes Time” was my favorite. Handheld and with only natural light. If you are ever in Los Angeles take a stop at their Union Station and enjoy the beauty of a faded era.
