Last night I saw the great Jerry Lewis perform before the day of his 88th birthday at the La Mirada Theater in a special one night engagement. He kept the audience laughing from the moment he walked on stage and fumbled to his chair.
Jerry is getting up there in age but that doesn’t stop him from putting a glass cup in his mouth and performing the great typewriting pantomime sketch that is one of my favorites. He showed video clips from his 8 decade career, shared stories, told jokes and took questions from the audience.
Leaving us for the night he gave us a word of advice, “A friend in need is a…pest.” That night was a highlight of mine and a check off my bucket list. Enjoy the photos I was able to take in between my laughter.
